Since my Vette hit 6K, my breaks sqeak like crazy when slowing down. Anybody else have the same problem and what did you do to resolve it? |confusing|

I have 18k on my 05 with the Z-51 pkg and dont have the squeeling brake problem, but on the digital corvette forum alot of people are starting to complain about it now. Word on the street thru the threads on DC is its a normal thing and to get use to it, which I say is BS!!!!

http://www.digitalcorvettes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54182 Hope this thread helps you out...

They have a recall on the brakes for the Z51 they install a softer pad stops squeeling but there is still more drake dust than the C-5 Beef

Do you have the recall number? I've been to the dealer on my '05 Z-51 brakes squealing 3-4 times. They have a service bulletin but no recall info. shows up. Basically - live with it.

I have 3 - 05 vettes and the brakes only squeek on 1. I had a mechanic tell me that there is a glaze that needs to come off. It doesn't squeek all the time.

I checked with my Chevy dealer and he does not show a recall on the brakes -- just a service bulletin that says they squeek. If you have the recall number, he will look into for me.

I also have 16K on the Z51 brakes and they squeek when hot and in traffic - stop - start.
