thought i would let you know that you were right. the pulldown was not an option on Z06's. they use the same latch as the convertable. i ordered one from a salvage yard and it was much bigger and needed a different bracket to work. didn't want to change the Z06 so i sent it back. thank you for your help, sincerly, curtis j heck

The Z06s do not have that as an option. And you shouldt have to slam the truck lid... Just half way and let it go...Smile

Vette(s): I don't currently have a C4
I haven't had that problem.  However, I do have problem with with the black rubbing off on the hatch where the rubber seal meets the hatch at the very back of the hatch.  It looks bad and I'm going to have to have it painted. I've gotten some pretty snide, embarassing comments from non-corvette owners.

It only applies to the ZO6 - and the Converibles. Coupes have the auto pull down on the hatch.

Before you have it painted, try Adams Brilliant Glaze (it's a spray). Spray it on a cloth, apply to all of the black area on the rear hatch, let it dry to a haze, then wipe it off like you would detailer spray from the car.

Then hit it with Adams Detailer Spray everytime you detail the car. That took care of it on mine, and have never had it since.Smile
