has anyone had trouble with their pull down not working and how was it repaired or just replaced?

I did but then I figured out that when I had the driver door open it would happen, if the door was closed it drew down fine. I'm not sure if this is normal but I havent had the problem anymore.

Do you mean a problem with the struts? I think they are charged with some form of gas(?). They can be replaced with relative ease.

no, the latch. you click and then it pulls the hatch down.

If I understand properly, when you try to close the rear hatch, it engages with the latch, but does not close all the way - right? Does it ever close properly? Might this be an alignment issue with the latch mechanism?
I have another vehicle (non-GM sedan) which seems to have similar issues with the trunk latch not releasing once opened. The latch seems to close once the trunk it open ... and hence ... when i try to close the trunk, it bounces back in my hand, since the latch is closed (secure). It seems to be tempermental. Does that sound like a similar situation?

no, but thnx anyway. it latches ok if you drop it or if you put it down gently and give it a push. i took out the latch mechanism but still couldn't get the little motor to work, so i guess i'll just replace it. thnx again, curt

If you are talking about the auto pull down on the rear hatch (push it down o far then it pulls it the rest of the way), I do not believe this was an option on the ZO6.
I know a friend that has a 2007 ZO6, and that is what he was told by several others with ZO6 as well as the dealer.

Check with another friend that has a 2008 ZO6 - his is the same way...no automatic pull down. Wondering if it is an option. Chacked my manual, and it says what yours does, but it could have been missed (listing as an option, not available on ZO6, etc...).
There are quite a few posts in the ZO6 area that seem to reflect the same. Check it out.
