My car is using approximately 1/2 qt oil around 2000 mi. There is 5400 on the clock now, I would say its broke in , has anyone else had this oil problem BEEF

I have about 5700 miles on mine with 5200 miles since my oil change and the car doesn't even show any oil consumption at all. The DIC says I've got 45% more life still available for whatever that is worth?

That's bad. I have over 14,000 on mine, and it has never used a drop of oil. Does there appear to be oil leaking or dripping anywhere? That would be a much more easily corrected problem than a ring problem.

Six months and 3,500 no extra use of oil.

Note; change my oil out at 1,000, no extra use of oil at that time.

When I had my C5 i had extra oil consumption at high rpm when i used engines under 4000 rpm no consumption. I own my C6 since 2 weeks and i don't know if it's the same thing for LS2

Almost 5000 not a drop used. Haven't changed oil yet. For all that it's worth the DIC shows that I still have 65% oil life yet.

I picked up my 2006 in Bowling Green and drove 4200 miles coming home to California. Did not use a drop of oil. Sounds like there may be a leak somewhere.

Dude, you've got a problem there. My clock struck 9K and only used a table spoonful. Let use know what the resolution is on this one!
