Had 2007 3 years and 15,600 miles when traded - never any problems with oil pan. Only differential fluid replaced once.

My '05 had an oil pan casket leak a couple of years ago. I read on another corvette forum that this is a fairly common problem.

If gasket is coated with silicone and allowed to cure before installing no leak should result.Proper torque should be used. 40 years as mechanic and no failures should convince me it works.
