I plan to order a c-6 if the price isn't out of line and I like the real thing when I can get my eyes on one.

I was wondering what this thread was about. When I saw a message titled "New C-6 purchase", I'm thinking, somehow somebody got a C6 already. How could this be?
Only to find out otherwise, nice one. I've been PUNKED!

Price should be within range of 2004 Corvette MSRP (plus 2-3-4M) The Corvette has been a great value for the performance level output. The power is outstanding!! And the C-6 at 400HP watch out...

I'm located in Illinois, and understand that the C6 will not be available until fall. This is from my local dealer. Does this make a lot of sense? I am very anxious to see one and will probably purchase. This will be my first vette. However, since most individuals park the car for the winter in the midwest, resulting in about 5-6 months of non use, why would anyone buy one in the fall. Why not wait till the following spring?

GM seems to be hinting that they are ahead on the time schedule. they already have C6 1/18th models at their website (i got one already) and they showed the commercial before what was supposed to be the first release. who knows.
