Was there one between the C4 and C5? And how much was it? With the way the pricing is set now...I can see a jump, but hopefully not a huge one!! |confusing|

The MSRP for a 97 coupe actually less than it was for a 96. The MSRP for the 98 convertible was also less than the 96 convertible. The were able to do this because of how many less parts are used in the C5 compared to the C4.

There should not be that much more of an increase. The 97 you could get for less then 96 depending on the options and all that kind of good stuff. I want it to be right around the $50k marker and I will be set.

My guess a loaded Convertible (with dealer price adjustments) will be $60,000 +

When comparing the C4 to the C5 intro pricing, consider that they always kick the MSRP up for the last year vette in anticipation of being able to offer mark downs that appear so large as to be to good to pass up. This helps them move the lame duck last year cars, while setting up the next year car as a good value.

Haven't we seen several price increases in the last 12 months?

I have to agree with repvette. I think the C6 will be about 60 large. Hope I'm wrong on this one.

According to a GM rep. I spoke with in BG last April the C6 will be priced close to what the 03 50th was. Coupe around 50k to 51k and the Vert around 58k
