bad news. the polished wheels are delayed and the car was supposed to be built last week. he does not know how long they are delayed for. However, i was planning on some aftermarket wheels in the future, so i may decide to just get the aluminum wheels for now and wait for spring for some other wheels.
What do you think?

It appears that GM had plans for 75% max take on the polished wheels RPO, but (surprise-surprise) nearly all orders are with this option. They appear to be still lacking a 'polisher' who can handle big business (like it was back in 2000 on the C5).
My dealer (re my targa; Sept. 6th TPW) was just advised by GM that the Dual Roof option (RPO C2L) is "on indefinite hold and not available at this time". There is no other explanation, nor is there any expected availability date.
Bit of a bummer, I ordered this, as I really like the smoked top....(had one on my '98 C5...used it all the time, except when 'open').
Anyone else heard of this?

Doesn't sound like the wheels are all that important to you, since you are thinking about replacing them at some point anyway. So, I'd say, if you can get it quicker by not waiting for the wheels, then go for it!
