I know this is far from new topic but i always have trouble searching these forums for the info I need. I am of course suffering from the service fuel system in my 2009 vette.  It has become a real problem as it wants to put my car into limp mode so I carry my OBD2 coder with me so I can reset the codes and finish my drive.I don't understand why it won't work for initial fill when tank is full but works fine after some of fuel is used. From my understanding any sensors for which I seek are in the fuel tank and no matter how one goes about it, it looks like I have to drop the fuel tank to fix it.  Am I overlooking something is there an easy way to tell exactly what the problem is before one starts ripping and tearing and buying parts they didn't need to

Cindy, post up the actual code(s) you are getting...it'll be easier to try to figure out what the heck is going on. Thumbs Up

well heres the thing.  I had to clear codes to take out of limp mode, once fuel goes down a bit the car is fine.  So I hauled fuel to shed and filled my car and no codes, it is cold here now so I guess there is no or very little expansion so I won't be able to get the codes now til spring. with that being said, I am convinced it is a venting problem the purge solenoid possibly
