Discovery Channel: Corvette C6 Tonight!

The Discovery Channel will feature a special on the C6 tonight, entitled, "Rebuilding an Icon." It airs at 8pm EST. Check your local listings.

TDC filmed parts of this at GM's Milford Proving Ground, Tech Center, and Dave Hill's presentation at last January's public unveiling of the car at Detroit's Auto Show.

Jerry Burton, of Corvette Quarterly, invited some of our club members to a discussion of "Corvette," at a local restaurant months ago. TDC was there (Athen's Coney Island) to film it, and they heard I had a C6 on order, so the producer asked if I would do a one-on-one intervew for the show. Sure, I said. Most likely, they will edit that part out, but if you see them talking to a guy in the restaurant parking lot....that's me!

Caught the Discovery Channel. Eye candy, this was a great documentary,Zippster.

I thought I was late on this news, guess not. Thanks for the update I didn't see your posting until after mine.

The Discovery Channel C6 program was great! I only wish the hatch on my C6 would close the way they show it does. Mine does not close if you just drop it unless you first open a door or lower a window otherwise you have to slam it.

RJLVette-Have you checked in with your Dealer on this hatch closure issue yet? It might just be a small adjustment, if so, it will noteworthy for the folks in the Service Dept as they'll need to document these trends.

Anybody else having a hatch closure concern?

Anybody have any complaints about the C6 "rear hatch" having closure issues?

Using this site for issues and talking about it is what we're all about. We've had a lot of down time until the C6 came out.

Any idea when or if it will be run again? I saw the show
but didn't pay alot of attention to those other than those
I knew. It was a great program. Jim Dunne doesn't appear
to be that young a person and still chasing cars. Must
really like his work. I did notice Burton in a restaurant
with some club people. I really need to see the show again.
