Was crusin' down the West Side Highway in a buddy's 76 C3 and we noticed GM had set up shop at the Film Fest. They had a C6 out, silver. Walked up there and talked to 'em for quite a while.
Here's their info.
Vert will be out mid-August
Approx $50k base for Vert.
Power soft top is a $1600 option
Tops should be available in Black, Red, Blue and White
The HUD has a G-Meter built in
They let me sit in it, oh so comfortable, all the gauges are well placed, the controls are easy, clutch is great.
I loved the car, looks great, sits great and looks like it has a lot of potential.
The hood is really short and the motor is tucked back under the windshield frame. Having a C3 with a gargantuan engine bay, that positioning bothers me and the hood looks too short, but what they hey, overall it looks good and is supposed to be wicked fast.
The lack of pop-up headlights bothers me when its said...but I can't say that I miss them. The C2 was the last Vette with hideaway headlights that I think looks really great with the headlights on. The last three generations liiked a little off with the lights up.

Excited about this one!

After just doing the euro headlight mod on my C5, I'm glad the pop ups are gone. Pain in the but to work on and re-align. I bet it would cost a $100 for the dealer to change a burnt out bulb.
