Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79
Dave Hill was at Corvettes at Carlisle 2003 and offered some info on the C6 during a seminar he gave.
The timeline for rollout is:
1. Revealing-Jan 04 at Detroit Auto Show.
2. Coupes for sale in March 2004.
3. Verts for sale in August 2004.
4. Z06 for sale in 2005.
Also, someone asked a question about brakes. Dave said: "they have extended the technology...", and no, the C6 brakes will not retrofit onto the C5.

Great news! Thanks for sharing it!
The C6 will be shown to the public on January 10th, 2004 during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. I'm sure we'll all see on CNN TV before that date because the press are allowed in before the general public.
Looks like I'll get my next Vette in March 2004!

This is further substantiated by the announced closure of plant tours at BG from Dec 1 through April. This ain't no long Christmas break and they don't need five months worth of pilot / show cars!!

There remain claims that the 2004 model year will be a normal one thru June, unfortunately. Two dealers have now published the build out dates for certain colors and options...going into May.
End dates are out for C5 colors. Something to keep in mind if you're thinking about spring delivery. This might a little insight into C6 production dates.
70U (Torch Red Metallic) Mid-March, 2004
88U (Medium Spiral Gray Metallic) Early April, 2004
79U (Millennium Yellow) Late April, 2004
10U (Arctic White) Late April, 2004
1YY67 (Convertible Model) Late April, 2004
ULO (AM/FM Cassette) Late April, 2004
C2L (Dual Roof Package) Late April, 2004
1SA & 1YY07 (1SA Pkg. Coupe Model) Late April, 2004
86U (Magnetic Red Metallic) Early May, 2004
F55 (Magnetic Selective Ride Control) Early May, 2004
Z51 (Performance Handling Package) Early May, 2004
1YY37 (Z06 Model) Early May, 2004
