I had trouble with my exterior door switches not working properly and found several videos on youtube that explained how to remove them and clean them. I did so and both doors worked a lot better. I did not find any videos about cleaning the interior door switch. So I pried them out with a small screwdriver removed them and decided to try and clean them too.
I used a small screwdriver to pry them apart in the location shown below.
This is what they looked like when I pried them apart. I cleaned the contact switches on the blue rubber membrane with 90% alcohol. Then I cleaned the matching contacts on the small plastic circuit board with the little light bulb on it. Put everything back together and they worked much better. I did not need to purchase new replacement switches from Chevrolet for $40.
