1,300 miles on my C6 and no belt problems evident yet. In addition,the engine does not seem to be burning any oil at all.

600 miles on it, produced in Jan 05 no problems. Serial number about 13,000

You have a crankshaft problem that occured up to # 11,000 or thereabouts. Stop driving the car, and get it to a dealer. There has been a GM fix bulletin on this problem issued. You can throw everything off the front end of the motor if the pulley comes off.
