6 speed manual gearbox

New '08 with 6 speed manual trans. seems hard to mesh shifting into second and third gears, 1st to 4th light is not on, car only has 50 miles on it and seemed fine when I picked it up with only 2 miles from dealer. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks.

the reason i bought a 6 speed manual,first one since my new 66,was because it shifted so much better thsn the previous corvette 6 speeds. my works great

I know if I try to be too gentle with my shift to 2nd that I sometimes have trouble. My Z06 likes a very positive shift to make sure that it doesn't try for 4th instead. I've never had trouble with 3rd.

i have noticed that also, if i shift too slow it is harder to get into gear. my old ZR1 trans., you had to shift that way, so if you are used to the old ZF tranny, you have to change your mind set and shift a little faster with the new tranny. it likes to be shifted faster.

Thanks to all for your responses. I guess I need to put some more miles on it. Also, probably too used to my last vette, '70 ragtop 4sp.

Some have experienced shifting issues due to the stock shifters limitations.
