I traded in my '07 C6 Automatic, for an '08 with the std 6-spd . For me, the standard xmission triples my enjoyment factor (not to mention the 30 extra horses and the Z51 performance pkg that I also got). The only negative was the CAGS. So less than one month after getting the '08 I ordered the CAGS bypass from MidAmerica. I spoke with Frank there before installing it and he was very helpful.
The installation was easy, and I no longer have to be concerned about when to shift to avoid the 1 to 4 lockout.
