Do you need to remove the bumper to replace the 3 piece front spoiler? Corvette is base model.

The spoiler is secured with about a dozen screws that are accessible just behind the upper portion of it. Just feel behind and up from the lower edge of the spoiler to locate them. They are removed with a 7mm socket. The screws go vertically up into basic "C" clips/nuts. You don't even have to raise the car as they can be removed quite easily.

Your right no need to jack up the car, but sure makes the job way easier.... Its a matter of being able to get your head under enough so you can see the screws... Being able to see what your doing, always helps.. Once the screws are out, about 8 of them the front of the under side of the body becomes pretty pliable  with a little tugging the old parts come right out... Now that is for the center section... A few more screws to change the two ends.... I've done the center section 3 times over the years..  Hope this helps..
