I haven't spent much time under "BLUBYU" yet but I know C5s are "bottom breathers" like the C4s, C6s and I believe the C7s. The C5 front bumper openings where the fog lights reside are blocked off, even on the Z06s. I've wondered what benefit, or detriment, there would be to opening up those spaces, partially or completely, to get more airflow to the air filter, the radiator, or just moving air thru the engine compartment to keep it cooler. I've seen air intake setups that use those spaces. Just curious.

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.
My "Z" has a opening for front brake cooling, and a SS mesh in front to allow air flow. Is the air dam still in place?

Yep - the air dam is still in place and is in good shape. The openings for both the front brake ducts are functional but don't have a screen on them. The Z06s have screens over the fog light openings even tho' they're not functional openings. Don't understand that thinking. 🙄
