Mr. K. was a very good friend of mine.
I use to buy all my GM proudcts from his dealership.
I bought  my 1st vette, 1969, off the floor and after speaking with him, he took a ZL1 Camaro and swapped the motors for me.
I was going to buy one of his RRs or his B. He was in Isral, at the time. Died before he got back.
The dealership, last a few years after that and got chewed up by some fast talking non car group.
Later, it became, just another car dealer.
Those select vettes, were factory made, to his specs.
Most, were sold, before delivery to the shop.
Try putting into your search bar. What comes back, may surprise you.

That was the only dealership to ever have an RPO(regular production option) code on a Corvette, which speaks of GM's high regard of the Konner name. No other dealer was ever offered a chance to have their own special Corvette built as an option code. Congrats!

Kinda cool that the article is not simply about the Malcolm Konner edition, but it also discusses the OP and the car he is discussing in his post.

I just noticed that myself...Wink

Welcome aboard Bill Clap

So tell us what's new with her Bill...how have you progressed on restoring it since the article? I agree, it is one of the most intriguing stories in Corvette history. A registry could be useful but I don't think you could account for all of them. Have you met up with any other owners?

Remember, there's no place like ~ ;)
