As fellow owners of "Special Editions" it gets harder everyday to find those specific parts we need. I'm looking for a blank console plaque for my 35th anniversary. (at a reasonable price) Pictured Below.  Also, when buying parts for our cars (especially from e-bay), be sure to ask the seller specific questions pertaining to the part such as color and condition. I've been burned by trusting someone's "rating" just to find out the seller's perception of Anniversary white was just white.

Here's some places to try...not sure they deal with smaller parts like emblems, but worth a phone call..  Contemporary Corvette http://www.contemporarycorvette.com/  or Corvette Recyclers  http://www.corvetterecyclers.com/
I've dealt with both before and their service is pretty good, no complaints.

Well; I tell you what, if for some reason you cant find what you want via. vendors, and even our sponsors...I spill the beans on a little secret I have.

....even the most simple and common part(s), I  need, I:
"set it and forget it" phew(per se'...LOL)

My buddy has a corvette parts place, I tell him what I want, and he gets it...
Even if its hard to find, I tell him what I want and he gets it...
I tell him as you described, specific colors, ratings, condition ect....

I do nothing...basically....LOL    Thumbs Up

I think he is a member here...(dont know how much involvement)
Kevin
corvette south (add dot com here, one word)
They have a toll free number on the website.

Tell him what you need and expect ...(condition, rating, color, ect...)
He also takes PP...CC (in case the s/o is not allowed to know about *stuff*) Wink
Our C4VR sponsors/vendors are worth a try, mention your, and their membership here.

I've looked everywhere I can find or possibly think of to get one of these LT4 emblems, but can't find one (or two... that would be better!)

Does anyone know where this can be found?  Thanks in advance for any help.  (thanks to CAC's LT4Man... for the borrowed image!)

I'd like to find a car of the 'special edition' that goes under this emblem. Alas my budget is limited. I'm hoping I can find one for maybe $5,000 tops. What do you think? LOL  It is a cool emblem. I took it off an 88 Callaway convertible I purchased in 1995 at an insurance auction. The twin turbo engine was gone, and had been replaced with an 88 L98. It was a neat car. I was in it about 10,000 when I was done, drove it for 3 years, and sold it for 10,500 in 1998.

I used to see these for sale in all the major catalogs....I just looked and the only ones they have now are the chrome style ones.....these may have been discontinued.

Might still be able to find on ebay!

If anyone can find them on eBay, then they're better at searching there than I am!  I have literally gone through hundreds of pages for each search string I can think of, but no luck.  I guess I bought my LT4 a few years too late.  None of the major suppliers (Zip, Corvette America, MidAmerica, etc.) carry them any more, from what I can see.  And I don't really like those Z06 style emblems that are available for anywhere from $85 to $115 or so on eBay.  My next plan is to scour junk yards.  It's a lot of work for one little emblem, but if I ever get the time, that's what I'm planning to do.
