Vette(s): 1993 Chevrolet Corvette Base Edition. Exterior Color is Polo Green with Tan interior. 5.7 LT-1 V-8 with 4-speed automatic transmission.

On my 1993 base model, the top radiator hose blew out on me while I was driving. I immediately got it home and shut it down. I ordered all three AC Delco radiator hoses from Rock Auto and installed them myself. I put new hose clamps and 50/50 universal anti-freeze. I started it up and allowed the system to bleed by removing the radiator cap from the reservoir. Once I saw there were no more air pockets/bubbles, I immediately checked the temperature. The temperature wasn't moving. I looked at the digital reading from the information center and temperature was registering 200 Degrees F. I placed the radiator cap back on the top of the reservoir let it run for a while and the coolant fan turned on. Everything is functioning fine but the temp gauge is no longer working. What could be the problem? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Without trying to sound like a wise guy; Is the wire to the sensor plugged in?

Wires in good shape?

Pull wires and make sure the terminals aren't bent.

Check for good ground.

If you know how and have a DVOM; ohm out the sending unit to check if it's working.

Those checks^ costs you nothing and doesn't create gray hairs....LOL

From there is behind/under dashboard.
