I don't have an answer for you about octane booster, but I am curious about your car. (I have an 85, as well, but it's stock.) What engine do you have in it? What mods have you done?

Imo all auto store Octane Boosters are a rip off, not what they say they are.

I have a guy that delivers fuel to where I work and he say's that N.O.S. in the black can is the only one on the market that will increase octane.

Make your own octane booster: (this is the basic formula of one of
the popular octane booster products) To make eight 16 ounce bottles
(128 oz = 1 gal):
100 oz of toulene
25 oz of mineral spirits (cleaning agent)
3 oz of ATF/transmission fluid (lubricating agent)
This same concoction is advertised as "octane booster with cleaning agent and lubricating agent!.
(Diesel fuel or kerosene can be substituted for mineral spirits and light turbine oil can be substituted for ATF, but ATF(trans fluid) is prolly easier to find)
Toulene is the most common main ingredient of off-the shelf octane boost products....

ZZ4 - nice motor, even stock. You've put a lot of great work into it. Looks like a real fun ride and I imagine you're having some good times with it!
Hope you enjoy the new stock 85. I do like mine. It's had a couple of issues to sort out, but nothing major, and certainly not unexpected. My husband and I are sure learning a lot, and it's been fun. The car is so very different from my 95, of course, even though they're both C4s.
