Fuel Pressure Regulator

When I bought my 35th Anniversary 2 years ago I have been replacing parts as I could afford. I figure the 20 year parts are due for replacement. I have a set of rebuilt injectors from FIC that will replace the Multics that still work great (?). While I have it apart should I replace the regulator too?
With 96k miles on it and only used for pleasure, would this replacement be an unnecessary expense?

I would...but I have a belief that fuel systems that are rarely used need more maintenance than daily drivers...same with rubber seals.

96k miles, used for pleasure...I would (if not done recently):
fuel pump
fuel filter
injectors (you did)
regulator
clean throttle body
clean MAF
any rubber 0-ring or fuel line replaced throughout the system.

Fresh premium fuel and I am ready for another 20 years worry free, keep working replaced parts as emergency/spares.

I would also check the EGR valve at this time, since you will have clear access to it.  Also check all of the plastic vacuum lines under the plenum and all of the fuel rail o-rings should also be replaced.  Those used to come as a complet kit from GM.  Replace the o-rings on the fuel supply and return lines also.  I replaced the pressure regulator housing with an adjustable one when I replaced my injectors.  It allows you to dial in the fuel pressure to factory specs.
