Today I took the top cap off of the fuel pressure regulator.  I didn't find a massive tear, but I found severe errosion of the inner ring area, with failure to come soon.  Here are the photos.  I will let the instructor play with this while I finish my finals tomorrow.  I should have the car back on the road soon, running with a lot less issues of course.  Man!, looking at these photos, blown up as they are, the damage is a lot more apparent.  I think that $62 was well spent!
