After replacing the injectors in my '89 C4. I am able to get it started now, but it only runs for 3 or 4 seconds, then stops. This happens whether or not I try to hold the pedal down, or just don't touch it. Before the injectors were replaced, it would not start, and the crankcase filled with gas. I drained the crankcase and put in fresh oil and filter. Now it starts, but won't stay running. Any suggestions?

We'll need a little more info...did you buy the Vette not running? Did it shut off while driving? Had the car been sitting a long time and at that point you had fuel in the crankcase and decided to replace the injectors? When it starts and runs for a few seconds and then shuts off...is it running smoothly or rough/missing. I'm wondering about the spark plugs since you had fuel in the crankcase.
As "CaledoniaBrian" replied in your other thread I'd start by checking for codes in the ECM.....I'd then check for steady/hot ignition spark while cranking the engine...if you have good consistant spark ...you'll need a fuel pressure gauge to check pressure. I don't know how mechanically inclined you are or what you have for tools (scanner, fuel pressure gauge and factory manuals)...at any rate the above is where I would start.

A bit more about it. I have checked the plugs since posting an found a fouled plug. I am going to replace the plugs and see if it helps. Before all the problems started, I had let the car sit for about three months without starting or driving it, and then when I did, it wouldn't start, but before, the last time I drove it, I noticed an extreme high peak in the oil pressure. After further examination I found gasoline in the crankcase, from a stuck injector. As far as my mechanical knowledge goes, I am mechanically inclined, but have very little experience with electronics and engine diagnostics. The service engine light is not staying on as it was before I replaced the injectors. I don't have a fuel pressure gauge, but I might get one to check the fuel pressure after I replace the plugs. Also I have noticed some coughing back through the intake at times when it tries to start. At any rate I appreciate the tips and keep them coming. I will keep you all posted with the progress I make. Thanks again.
