Vette(s): 2003 C5 ANNIVERSARY EDITION
In late 1983 I was given the opportunity to drive the Motor Trend Magazine 1984 Car Of The Year, The 1984 C4 Corvette was that car. It was the most beautiful Corvette ever! It handled and drove like no other car I had ever driven. It spoiled me! I have owned Two C4s and it is still my favorite car, but times have changed and I moved on and have now owned three C5s. One coupe and two convertibles. The C4 still excites me over whatever benefits the C5 offers. Once I figure out how to post a photo here I will.

What's your reason for owning a C4?

Vette(s): 1988 King of the Hill prototype Dark Blue/Black
1990 ZR-1 Black/Red
1993 ZR-1 Bright Aqua/Arctic White
Bought my first new Corvette (1987) from City Chevrolet in Charlotte, NC. It was a coupe with Red exterior and Graphite cloth interior. I drove the wheels off it between Charlotte and Southport, NC which is where my parents lived.
In 1990, I traded it on a new one ton dually, also from City Chevrolet. Shortly thereafter, I purchased a new 1990 ZR-1 from Capitol Chevrolet in Nashville. It was Polo Green exterior with Saddle interior.
I've never looked back and have had C4 Corvettes in my life continually since that red 87.

Vette(s): 1993 Anniversary Model

I inherited this C4 from my wierdo-outlaw-biker cousin’s estate after his passing in 2016. He had it sitting out in the driveway with broken window guides and rotting weatherstrip, so there was UV damage on the exterior and water damage in the interior.

It took me 10 years, but the restoration is finally complete, and it’s now one sweet drive.

Would I do it all over again? Of course!

Vette(s): 1987 Red Targa top - z51, 4+3 manual, modified

Ive owned my C4 a 1987 targa coupe, Z51, 4+3 manual almost 20 years. When I found it, it was a 20 year old used car. I started a rebirthing process and have replaced or modified almost everything except the body. I added a spoiler, front splitter, stripes, different wheels and tires, redid the leather interior in code correct red and graphite for a two tone look, headers, performance chip and custom true dual exhaust from the collectors to dual aluminum tips from my C6. I’ve driven the car across the S. east to shows and Corvette meets. The furthest was to Pontiac, MI for the Woodward Dream Cruise a few years ago. I love the car and can’t bear to part with it but would sell it if someone really wanted it. I still get plenty of looks and recognition today. It has over 100k on it and still runs strong. Next Corvette event Vettes at the Beach in Pensacola Beach mid-Sept. if your there stop and say hey!
