Vette hasn't started in years

I have no idea what to do.

Any help is appreciated. Please be kind. My grandpa passed away less than a month ago, it was his car. I got an offer for $1700.  It has less than 10k miles on it. I don't really want to sell but we live on an island and there's not toooooo many Vette mechanics around.

Don't take the $1700.00
Provide some details.
Year of car, engine, tire condition, etc...photos help evaluate, and come to a dollar amount.

Providing a general location helps directing you to a mechanic or maybe a forum member who can advise you after looking at the car.
