Vette(s): 1992 Red coupe with saddle interior. It has a 6 speed manual transmission, which was an absolute requirement when I was looking for the car. It is also still running on its original Goodyear tires.
Wow, spring fever has taken on a whole new meaning this year.  I bought my 92 vette the end of August last year and I can't wait to get the cover off and get back out cruising.  Just to remind us upstate New Yorkers that winter is not over, we got over a foot and a half of snow between Friday and Saturday afternoon.  Oh well spring is coming.

my only question would be when is it coming? should be glad the car is getting held up in the body shop as that is helping keep the urge to get in and drive it anyway idea away. also good is that it is out of the weather.Thumbs Up

The only fun I have with my car now is about once a month I start it up and let it run 15 - 20 minutes.  I have heard mixed reviews on doing this.  Be interested in some thoughts on this.

personally i see nothing wrong with starting it and letting it run. IMO it keeps things from getting dried out. there are 2 other things that i would do. 1st is to keep the battery charged as letting it go dead can kill it and 2nd (this i heard and does make a lot of sense) is to pump the brake pedal about once a month in down time so the seals don't dry out or "glue" themselves in place.

I had thought about putting a battery tender on the car while I have it in the garage, but have just never gotten around to doing it.  As far as pumping the brakes goes, everytime I start it a move the car out of the garage to do it, so I think I have this covered.
