I know we have a geographically diverse group here, wondering how many are making the trip?  I'm there Friday and Saturday, I know Adam has his booth there.  Anybody else?

My spouse and I are attending Corvettes at Carlisle next Friday thru Sunday. It is our first visit. We hear it is an enormous show and worth attending. We are traveling all the way from Florida. Any tips on attending?

Cool  Well, you will do a lot of walking, that's for sure.  Dress for warm to hot weather, wear sneakers or comfortable walking shoes, bring a few mini umbrella's just in case of a shower or too much sun, keep a insulated cooler in your car filled with cold water bottles, you can go back to on occasion.  Some people bring canopies and chairs, but as this is your first time, you probably won't spend much time there. Bring cash if you plan on buying stuff (you will), some vendors only deal in greenbacks.  Since you have 3 days, plot out your exploration of the grounds, it's 90 acres filled with neat stuff, you can't do it justice in a day.  Bring a camera, never know what you will see that you'll wish you took pictures of later.  Sign up for the Saturday night parade through Carlisle, it's a hoot.  Take your time, enjoy the experience, get there early on Saturday morning (7-8 a.m.) traffic is a challenge.  Your wife will probably get bored faster than you (if not, she is a real keeper  LOL) so cut her some slack and let her cool off or rest at or under the grandstand.  Tons of vendors selling every kind of used part known to man and Chevrolet, so if you have a shopping lst, bring it with you.
And make sure you stop by the CX registry booth to say hi to Adam and thank him for creating this forum and buy a chance for the raffle Corvette.

Have a great time, hope I run into you.

Thanks very much for all the information. I am a retired Army Officer so I am staying at Carlisle Barracks Army Base. They said I can walk to the fair grounds. I hope to do so to avoid the traffic. Is it true we can walk to the event from the base? Hope to meet you. I will stop to meet Adam.
