Whether or not, this compnine site is interesting reading. It says my '92 is a 1 of 1 also. Could be because of soo many options, or maybe so few cars made compared to other makes...I like to believe I have a rare car. I know it's fun to drive and wish I'd gotten one years ago. Vette(s): 1978 Silver anniversary edition.
I just tried inputting my VIN and it kept kicking it back...I took the VIN right off my Registration so I know there are no number(s) missing.....any thoughts?

They simply do NOT have all of the data to be able to give out the info for all years, imo. It happens. Records get lost/mixed-up/damaged. They may eventually get the database complete, or at least a little more complete than it is now.
Just assume that whatever car you have, it's a "1 of 1". As I said before, it is entirely possible that are are NO two Corvettes built exactly the same, with the possible exception of the Challenge cars, and even those had different colors, so there goes that theory right out the winder...
