questions about possible backfire sound

Hey everyone

As this is my first full summer with my vette, I have been trying to watch, listen and maintain as I go to make sure everything is more or less running ok. I noticed a backfire sound with the first minute or two at start up that goes away shortly after. It only occurs if I give it extra gas immediately after start up - it will happen once or twice and that's it. I am not really sure if it could be the cat. converter, leaky injector or something else. Maybe it is not even a major concern (at least right now?)?

I did notice a little moisture forming on intake manifold by coolant neck and front injector on drivers side - can't really tell what it is - not much smell - could be injector neck looks dry. This could also be a different issue.

It seems to run well after so I am not sure - being this is my first vette, I am guessing it is running well?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

thanks everyone

Sean

sorry 1985 standard 4+3 stock motor that I know of all that I see on the exhaust is manifold, to x-pipe and cat converter, then out to the tail - so I am guessing not stock - would there be any muffling by the tail pipes - I saw some kits had something like that? thanks Sean
