Vette(s): Used to own a 1979 Corvette now owned by JB79

This may seem like an obvious question, because many people own their favorite C4 model year, but let's find out why....

What is your favorite C4 model year and why? (It doesn't have to be the year you currently own).

Vette(s):
SOLD - "The Toy" - '70 Convertible
SOLD - "The Beast" - '90 ZR-1 (#682)
SOLD - "Betty" - '28 Ford Model A Tudor
SOLD - "BLKBRRD" - '78 Pontiac Trans Am
"BLUBYU" - '04 Coupe

1990 ZR-1, and not just because I used to own one.  But because it was a ground breaking car, at least for Chevrolet.  The later model years had more horsepower and are a little more rare because of the lower production numbers, but the '90 is a unique year.

2nd choice would be the '96 Collectors Edition.  It was a fitting sendoff to the C4 generation, imho.

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.

I'm partial to mine, because I attempted many times to purchase it from previous owner. It's a 93 LT1. Wanted a LT1 for a while. Considering it's shape at purchase, I paid to much. BUT, after repairs and changes, I like it.

I will say 1984.  All of the hype, and the wonderful articles of the car, all of it.  I like that it is the only C4 with the CrossFire Injection system.  I haven't dealt with this, but that cast airbox that mated to the hood was much nicer looking than the dual throttle body injection that came with the V6 Firebird I was able to afford that year.  The poster subjects were almost always red.

Vette(s): 1989 White with all Red interior My first Corvette

My 89 white w/Red. It is not so valuable that I am afraid to drive it. I can take it anywhere. It's a chevy and any mechanic can work on it. Most all of the parts are at any parts store. It has a distributer. And most of all its mine.

Vette(s): Currently: 1996 Red/Red Convertible - 2014 Stingray Torch Red/Adrenalin Red Convertible and 1019 Grand Sport Convertible Torch Red;Adrenalin Red

1995 Convertible - Red-Red.  Had this as my 2nd Corvette and ended trading it on a 2014 C7 Convertible.  Love the C7 but miss the styling of the 1995.  Found it recently for sale on internet but was unable to make a contact due to illness or would have tried to buy it back!
