Today the 16th of March was an awesome day for me as today it was 42 degrees (F) (finally above freezing and not snowing) and dry and only 4 days until “Mud”. Yes I said Mud... Spring to most folks but here in Central New York we have Summer, Fall, Winter than Mud! Reason, with all the snow melting and rainy weather as the temperature warms we exist in a ground saturated with water and a muddy world and then all of a sudden it's Summer no slow warm up season! But what made today awesome was today is the first time since September 30th (over 5 months) of last year that I finally un-covered my 95 coupe, checked all the fluids, disconnected the battery minder, sat in the cockpit, inserted the key and made that awesome 350 beast come to life. It was so exciting just to back it out of the garage and sit there and listen to my vette resonate that deep throaty sound that I haven’t heard in months. What a feeling. I wanted to yell “I’ts Alive…I’ts Alive” but I controlled myself as I am conservative. Now I know a lot of you have been driving your cars but for us in the north and north east it’s been a very, very long winter. Just wanted to pass this along and maybe hear if any other member has brought their vette out of “winter hibernation” yet. Can’t wait to start enjoying the summer of 2015.

I share your thoughts,  Mine wasn't by choice..... I went to start my  1988 ( C 4) in august about 2:00 am  one morning & It started to kind of diesel & then it  just died & after that wouldn't even turn over , Long story short  .....The fuel pressure regulator took a crap on me , and flooded the cylinders, I finally had it towed to a well known C 4 specialist here in Silicon Valley  & He repaired it. Today was my 1st day even hearing it run since then let alone driving it  ........And let me tell you ......Damn it felt great . It's time to get out there & enjoy these fine Automobiles that we Corvette owners have , Happy Motoring to all Thumbs Up Beer

Still waiting in N.E. Pa. to get going. WAY to much snow in front of the garage door, and in the lawn to get them out. Gonna be a spell I'm a feared.

Did the very same thing about a week ago;  on a rare nice day, I backed my Purple '95 out into the driveway and just left it idle until all of the fluids came up to operating temperature.  It sure was nice to hear it running again.
As of this message it is snowing again here in Ephrata, PA, so my thought of taking it on the road tomorrow is just not going to happen.
Oh well, it has got to get warm and dry sometime!
