My car was NCRS Flight judged on Saturday and was awarded TOP-FLIGHT status.

yes nerve-wracking for sure...plus I am also a judge....so as i was going thru this guys seemingly perfect 96 Grand-Sport rag-top i was second-guessing everything i did for last couple yrs...it worked out well....I scored way above the minimum 94% so I was pretty relieved...now maybe a regional at the end of summer......

Good for you! Would have been disappointing to put a bunch of work into it and come up short. So are you finished?
I wonder how may things they could find "wrong" with mine. I have a long list of everything that has been changed and I know each one intimately. It could fun to turn the tables and judge the judge by seeing how many they picked up!

Yes it was BOTH fun and nerve - wracking...as for the regional I am planning on going to Altoona in September. I know what you mean about judging being hit or miss at chapter level...I am a judge as well and take that responsiblity seriously. I was VERY fortunate to have only 2 judging teams go over my vehicle....and one team was a husband/wife team that are MASTER judges for the NCRS so I feel a bit more confidantin not only my vehicle but in my ability to detect and correct things in my car. All I can say it is MUCH harder than most people believe to keep and maintain an almost 25 yr old car to original specs and presentation levels. I did have a moment of pride when the Master judging team took time out after the ribbon was presented and came to ME and said how good a presention it provided....If anyone ever has the opportunity to observe an NCRS judging I would encourage you to do so, not only to see how intense it is, but to see the Corvette history that a sanctioned event such as that brings out...at my event alone there were cars from 1954 up to and including a 1996 Grand Sport rag-top that just may be a one of one build!
Thank you to all for the kudos...I will surely keep you posted as I prep for Altoona!
Corvette wave to all my C4 "family"

"I was VERY fortunate to have only 2 judging teams go over my vehicle...."
I'm confused by the use of "VERY fortunate" and "only 2" in this sentence. A Flight Team consists of five 2-person teams, and a team leader. Each 2-person team evaluates Operations, Interior, Exterior, Mechanical, or Chassis.

One team was Jim and Elaine Miller...maybe Eileen..I appologize if I have her name incorrect.....and I did not get the names of the other judges , as stated before I was also busy myself.

I had my '86 Coupe judged at a Regional NCRS meet several years ago and received a Top Flight. There are some mistakes in the judging manual that have not been corrected as yet. I bought my Coupe new and I know everything is original other than the items I replaced. Still, I was docked for non-original parts even though they were on when the car was delivered.
I am also a Master Judge. The judging process is a good experience and you will learn a lot about the characteristics of your car.
