Vette(s): 87 Red Coupe, not as pretty, had 213G miles, great running engine; got 20-21 around town, 27-28 on hwy; I got to drive a Vette, every day for 6 yrs. It was my first; so now I know what the fuss is all about. (Sold it 2015 for $3000, still ran great.)
It could be true, just for bragging rights, or it might be for fun, just for laughing rights, but it's on www.mercedes-benz.com as one of the car company's TV ads, and those guys aren't known for their sense of humor, but they are known for their auto-tech-better-dan-der-odder-ubers, so my guess is that they did it or did the commercial to prove they could do it. Ain't such a strech to pull-off a stunt like this for the world's best German engineers with an unlimited budget...is it?
