In search of a hardtop for my 1996 (base) convertible. Did find one today on eBay in Dolton, IL but requires local pickup only; I am in upstate NY. Tried to send a message to the seller to ask if there is a possible shipping option but for some reason eBay will not allow it to go through.  I removed any personal info and asked a general question, but no go!  So, will continue looking for one and respectfully request your help with my search. :)

IF there happens to be anyone in this forum who is close to Dolton, IL and willing to pick up said hardtop please contact me. Unfortunately, there is only 20 hrs 7 mins left on the eBay auction; it is a steal at only $500!

Appreciate help from forum members to assist with my ongoing search... thank you very much!

Vette(s): 1972 conv, 4-speed, 350, 200hp, numbers match, rally wheels, war bonnett yellow w/white top. good condition, nice driver.

I did see it shown. I got a response that it was sold. Did you get it?

No, I didn't get it.  I tried to contact the seller to ask about a shipping option and/or whether they could hold it until I could make arrangements but it wouldn't allow my message to go through! Then the auction ended. Was tempted to "Buy it Now" but if I had no way of getting it or knowing if they'd hold it I'd be stuck. :(  Thanks, though!
