day we bought an 85 to go with our 95. She's had 41,5xx miles on it when we picked her up this morning. Here are some pix. As you can see from the last pic, the PO kept the dealer sticker, which he gave to us. He had a file full of all the maintenance/repair history he's done, as well, so we got lots of documentation with the car. Stock, except for a modern Kenwood stereo. But, we got the original Bose system with the car, as well.

Awesome...sweet looking 85. You are very lucky to be able to know the maintenance record on the car. Enjoy as I am sure you will!

Thanks, everyone. I do love that she's in such good condition. Despite all the records being in order, we're having a few issues that need to be sorted. I guess that can be par for the course, though.
Joel, the 85 may not be the right color, LOL, but the 95 is.

Well....Gold Metallic is pretty "rare"....not very many that color...around 1000 or so, if I remember correctly. They had a problem with the pigments falling out on the paint, so they just didn't paint very many that color. Still a nice find!

Interesting about the gold metallic. I'm not very familiar with automotive paint. Is there something I should be watching for? Right now, the paint looks great, except for one tiny area where the PO scraped the edge of the driver's mirror. I may very well try my hand at touch up for the first time just to get that spot looking better.

If my wife would sell her Mustang and buy a C-4 I would probably start letting her park in the garage. But I refuse to let the Ford Mustang in the same garage as my C-4. Nope, aint happening.
