From what I've read about the C7 it's supposed to have a 3 liter V6 with twin turbos. So hang on to those big motor C4's. I can envision a C4 350ci having the mystque of the C3 427/454s. Of course it may be your grandchildren who drive the car looked on with the reverence of a '67 427.

I bought my Corvette for the here and now. At my age it's time to enjoy a few things while I am still young enough to enjoy it and old enough to afford it. If the C-4 ever amounts to anything else to anybody else it will probably be past my time or beyond my concerns. I love every Corvertte out there and would be happy to drive any of them. I chose this one to be mine, and it's a great fit. So let's roll ......

Just read another artical that says a 3 liter V8 with turbo..we'll have to wait and see.
I looked for my '96 LT4 for a year before I found the right one. Wife is on deployment aboard the USS Bataan until Dec so I'm planning a trip from Norfolk to Vancover Island to fill the time. Should be about 7000mi so there's plenty of life in the C4 yet. Leaving later this month.

The only complaint I have about the C4 is that it's a bit hard to get out of. Getting in is easy though... not so easy to get out. (sort of like marriage! (

For me, to make it easier to get out of, I like to open the door wide, as in all the way. That means if there's no open parking, it's a bit of a hassle. I park off in the distance and get a bit of walking in. No worries there.
I'd like to think mine will be collectible some day, but as has been pointed out, that may be so far down the road that I won't see it. So for now, I will enjoy driving it. Vettes are made to be driven!
I've never even sat in a C5. I've seen plenty of them and they look so huge to me, which I'm not sure I like. I like the C5 Z06 lines though. I plan on getting at least one more Vette, so maybe a C5 Z06, or an early C3. If not, I'll just get nice late C3, but it will need more power than stock. Maybe I'll put in a 383 Stroker. You gotta love the big curves of the C3, which btw, was also a pretty radical change from the C2, imo.

The C4's had the most innovations built into them, more than any other generation...I throughly enjoy mine ever time I get in it.

I have had my '86 Coupe since new and I find that I like it better each year. Yes, there have been some aggravations, the latest being the power antenna which I had to repair by replacing he mast and nylon rod. It was a job because the designers decided to make it difficult to remove by forcing you to remove the rear wheel, inner fender, clipping the power lines, etc. There have been a few other jobs that were difficult because of the placement of the components. I still enjoy owning, maintaining and driving it.

C
Got a C3 and a C4. Love both of them but they are both different. Kind of like children..... hehe.....C3 is easier to get in and out of. C3 lines also look awsome, Love the notchback....The C4 has awsome power and is great for long trips...It really is comfortable....After you get in it.... I also here stories about the C4's racking up some incredible miles. Would like to here more about who has the most miles on a C4 without significant repairs

I have had a C2 basket car not worth mentioning, a C3 (1975 dog) I bought new and was a everyday driver and now I have a C4 for fun and yes it has it problems but nothing I can't over come. I will take the C4 anyday. A great ride over long distances, plenty of power for me, great styling, and just plain fun car to have. From what I read in Corvette Mags, C5 have there problem when it come to everyday issues (quility related). and yes C6 are great machines only because their the latest and the greatest. The residual value of the C4 may not be that great now but who cares, it is a superior ride.

Owned a '56, loved it, always admired C-4s. Bought a well used, well loved '84, then a garage queen '85. Love both C-4s, '84 is faster, less problems.

I would agree the C4 is faster. I can out run my mechanics 07!
