have your headlights been changed to plastic? never tried any of them but will have to for my escalade. in these cars just go buy new headlights as they are glass.

I guess I should have been more specific. Wasnt fully awake at 1 am. Need to clean lenses on both p/u and envoy. Come to think of it, both p/u are glass (96 and 99 respectivley) and envoy is 05 and are plastic.Glad you pointed that out. I had not thought of that.

n/p..i am like that during the day sometimesBig smile. will be getting a kit shortly as i noticed on my escalade they are starting to cloud up. i replaced the headlights in my vette so they are plastic but i guess not old enough yet to have clouded up. just another bit of info that was posted up here a while ago. it was said you can use the kit for cleaning the clouded lenses inside the car too.

got to checking around the net and found a site dedicated exclusively to checking out all the different kinds of headlight treatment. the one they recommended as best was made by 3m. it included a short video on how to do it. looked pretty good and 3m has a good name. went out and bought the kit(about 25 bucks).it has 3 different sanding pads and one beffer pad and enough polish to do two headlights. will try it in the morning. will let you guys know how it turns out.

just finished headlights and turn signals on silverado and one of the new used turn signals on the vette. product works great. you acn go to headlight restoration and click on 3m and they have a video to show you how to do it. it took me about one hour and they look as good as new.

Vette(s): 87 Red Coupe, not as pretty, had 213G miles, great running engine; got 20-21 around town, 27-28 on hwy; I got to drive a Vette, every day for 6 yrs. It was my first; so now I know what the fuss is all about. (Sold it 2015 for $3000, still ran great.)
I had my daughter's PT Cruiser done at the car wash, waste of money.  One looks sorta clearer, the other sorta same ole fog.  The guy at AutoZone said to buy a kit and do it yourself, with the drill-buffers, so you can burn+buff as much as you need.  Your post proves the do-it-yourselfer kit is actually the best solution.  Thanks for letting us know it worked.  Meguiar's was recommended, and so was 3M, so I think I'll buy the 3M one, on your experience.  That's what C4VR is for!  THX, BAT

yeah, i saw those pics, thats what gave me the courage to pull my bumper. both my turn signal lenses were broken on the back side where they were bolted.had to pull cottonpikin bumper just to replacethe lenses. can you believe how much those things are? 275 to 300 apiece for new and 100to 150 for used.found one in oregon and one in tennessee.
