hehehe...now you know why i wont be retiring soon rita. it's all those little things that you think of that are signs or  omens of why you should stick with what you have. the blessing is the biggest as He is the biggest and best corvette owner there is, your third brake light, and your license plate.

everyone looks at newer vettes and but not the same way they look at the older vettes. its a different show of appreciation. there is a guy around here that has a c6 and his plate says UWISH41. the only thing is he respects and follows the wave. of course when i saw him, i told him i wished for 1 and now i have 2.

i have stated before my ultimate corvette would be a 63-67. unfortunately i cant afford one. my c3 was my 30th anniversary present from my wife. when i brought it home she said that it wasnt what you really wanted and my answer was "it's a corvette". my c4 was was my birthday present to myself the next year and the answer was the same. i explained that if she was willing to sell the house we might be able to buy the one i wanted but the ones i have were great. i do not feel that way about the newer vettes. i still respect them and wave and as you have stated not gotten the wave back.

we are always here to help and along the  way you learn something from other people getting there problem fixed. just one other thing, i understand c4s have computers but i have noticed that on the newer cars the engine seems to be more dependent on the computer and to me it seems all their problems are "major".

all the little things will get fixed and as they get done you feel more "attached" to your car. good luck to everyone.

Hey Dave,
Christmas isn't that far away..... Can I borrow your wife?????

Rita,
I have been watching with much interest and am very glad you decided to keep the C-4. If you were too trade for a C-5 it wouldn't be long before you were looking at a 6. Once you start looking for the "newer and better" it becomes a habit that is never satisfied till you have the "Newest and Bestest". You have to love these cars for what they are and where they came from, not where they are heading... Glad that 4 of yours has the best home possible.

Wondering how many have asked that question in the early 80's considering C3 VS C4'S...
As C4's too have definately improved on the electronics, handling, suspension etc. Over the C3.... Thumbs Up

It was suggested by Jeff that I check "a fuse marked power accy" for my power seat issue.  I looked at the ones on the passenger side and didn't see this description on the door.  Is there another place  to look?
I case you need to know, my C4 is a 95.

Love my C4!

That's easy. And, I'm only talking about the body. Not engines. or performance.

Purely from a design standpoint the C4 has it all. In a word "Balance". The mark of any good design is balance. Look at a C4 from any angle. It has no "bad" side. The lines are clean, smooth, flowing. Not sharp, or harsh, and in your face like the C3. The C4 harkens back to the mid-years. Total proportion.

The C5 looks like a train wreck. The front looks like a Firebird from those years. Only that some huge weight has fallen on the hood and squashed it. The sides are blank slabs. The back? Don't get me going. A billboard. They should have put a sticker on it that says; "Your ad here"

Queen could have used this design aspect as the inspiration for there song "Fat bottom girls". Or, that skit on SNL where the whole family had gigantic butts. It's huge, hideous, way out of proportion. In short, the C5 has no "good" side.
The C6. A lame attempt to fix the C5.

I think I'm done now. Good luck.

rita,

i believe you are looking for one of the circuit breakers. if you have the owners manual, look for the fuse section where they give you a picture of the fuse box and tell you what everything is. on my 90, there are four silver colored circuit breakers and one should be labeled power accy. info stated if your power door lock works then that breaker is ok. i just thought of something else. while you are in the manual see if there is an auxiliary fuse block with maybe four fuses in it. on my 90 it is located behind the passenger side hush panel (carpeted part under dash). they said mine was supposed to be in the front but after going crazy it was in the back under a bunch of wires. let me know how you make out.  dave
