I bought my 86 convertible a year ago, not as an investment. Rather as something I've wanted for almost 60 years. Obviously my 1st pick would have been a 63 SWC as I had a coworker that had one back in the late 60's, loved riding in that one. I got mine for a price I could live with and plan to enjoy it as long as I can.
It's a car, a fun one but still a car. Enjoy it and don't worry about the value on it, just use it as it was designed - to drive.

Enjoy the ride. I also did not buy mine as an investment, I bought it as something to enjoy. I only drive it in the summer to car shows. But that's what I like to do. Others drive them more intensely, that's ok too. You won it, you can do whatever you like. As far as investments, I bought mine 20 years ago, it's probably worth about what I paid for it then. But, I will never sell it. It's part of the family now!

I get parts from the Corvette Shop in Tampa (www.corvetteshoptampa.com)for my C4. They have been a lot of help and are really good to work with. As to the value of the C4 going up or down it really doesn't matter to me, I like my car and enjoy driving it. The C4 will be the next American Hot Rod, it is a high preformance car that you can afford to buy and work on. Bottom line is the C4 is just fun to drive!

Fully built 350 displacing 600 HP at 900 PSI on the bottle, 700 HP. at 1200 PSI.

I can not seem to find a OEM PVC molded hose. I have the vent hose but can not find a good PCV hose

I think the time might be coming for the '80's & '90s cars, kids who grew up with them will want them when they're older & can afford them. Even if they don't become 'collector cars', they're a lot of fun!

jan.2015 a '96 grand sport sold at Kissimmee mecum auction for $70k. That's something. While most clean c4's go on auction in the Teens, ZR1 go up to the mid thirties. It's the only clam shell hood corvette. It will rise at some point. If you join NCRS and top flight your car it will bring more $'s. I have a 96 CE LT4 with 12,000 miles . This July it is going to the ncrs nationals in Denver for the very coverted David Hill Award only 24 corvettes ever received this. Then it will be retired. 2 Top Flights, 1PV, and the Hill award. This car has been well documented. That's howC4'4 will bring good money to a collector. That being said, it's way more about how it makes you feel when you drive it. They are the best value in a sports car money can buy and won't brake the bank to keep them. For all you people who want to get involved with your car join NCRS and go to a Chapter event in your area. If you want to learn your car join and meet great people, and see some of the best in the world!!!!
