Well Ive owned my 1996 C4 for 6 years. Its been a great car.

Nope, like my C4. But if I win the Powerball, a new Grand Sport or ZR1 would like nice parked next to it.

 Nope, no desire to change here. Besides, I enjoy actually getting greasy working on them. The new motors are covered in plastic! You can't even see the filth. Too technical for an old grease hound like me.

The C6 is nice on longer drives and there is more interior

I can't see me letting my '96 go---I've looked at other generations and driven many---my first love as a high school kid was a neighbors ''67 427/435 blue Vette. I love the C3 Mako body style. The brother in law has a '04 C5--great car!! Had a chance a few months to get in a C6 ZO6 which was modded for the track at VIR---what a AWESOME car  Overall as far as driveability/performance and fuel economy I like fuel injection over carbs.... That said I've recently looked at 2 different C3s should the right one come along---who knows??? In a perfect world I'd own a Vette for every day of the week

A C5 Z06? I would drop the C4 in a heartbeat for a well taken care of one.

Before I bought my C4 last August, I was lookiing hard for a C5.  After really thinking about it and considering the difference in price, I decided on the C4.  The car had 7600 miles on it when I bought it and I agree with you, it does everything I want it to do and does it well.  The only issue I have with the car is I would love to talk to the guy who decided that putting the parking brake on the door side of the drivers seat.  He must have had a brain cramp that day.

I love our '87 C4 it's a classic! It's like driving a big go kart. The looks are so much better than C6 in my opinion. Somehow the C6 rear quarter looks too short for the car. If we found the right C5...maybe some day I could be persuaded but a C4 ZR-1 would be first in the stable.

It just goes to show ya, all Corvettes must be pretty neat for all 6 generations to like themselves and each other so much.  If you have any one of the Vette flavors, you are a lucky duck.  My C4-87 is my first, and I love driving it every day, but I suspect that it would be nice to have a C5, someday. No hurry, though ....
