Does anybody know on the center air dam there is a metal retaining bracket. My question is does the bracket go on the inside of the air dam flush to the fiberglass?

Top of the tube is flattened and it's held by a hex headed-large washer screw that bolts through the support tube to fix it to the fiberglass bumper (which has doubled-over sheet metal nuts) through a hole in the facia (bumper cover). There's two similar screws in the air inlet opening retaining the cover either side of centre. The bottom of the tube is also flattened and fits in the slot of the centre dam and held with a nut on the underside. At least that's what I remember from when I had it off...
