Does anyone have access to or know where I can buy a manual for my 1992 Corvette LT1?
I am having a problem with it not turning over and would like to trouble shoot the VATS wiring by probing the correct wires in order to see if that is the problem.
Thank you,
Russ...

E-bay is a good place to look. Most Corvette Parts vendors(like some of our site sponsors here) also carry both the Factory Service Manuals, as well as the Chilton/Mitchell type manuals.
I can send you the wiring diagrams, but the text on them is really hard to read, as far as circuit numbers, and wire colors...
I do also have the troubleshooting trees for the system(s)
The manual would have better diagrams....

Vette(s): 87 Red Coupe, not as pretty, had 213G miles, great running engine; got 20-21 around town, 27-28 on hwy; I got to drive a Vette, every day for 6 yrs. It was my first; so now I know what the fuss is all about. (Sold it 2015 for $3000, still ran great.)
You can buy one on eBay or Craigslist, but you can get a free PDF of the 1993 Owner's Manual online at www.Corvette-World.com . They have 1993 to 2009 ones available for download, and the 93 is pretty close to what's in the 84-92 cars, as well. Just click on the Free Corvette Owners Manuals link on the right side of the Home page under Corvette Articles.
It's not the same as a service manual, for mechanical stuff, but it tells you how to use what's on most of the C4 models, since not much changed, as you know. For trouble shooting a problem like you're describing, you need a real service manual or one of the after-market ones sold at AutoZone, Checkers, NAPA, Pep Boys, etc.
It's nice to have the owners manual, however, in any event.

If you buy the FSM, make sure you get the two volume one with the red covers, the white cover one doesn't help you.

And the second volume covers electrical problems.

i can suggest a better way to get the info for the vats system and it won't cost you a cent
. google it. it will give you links to many different places that show the wires you need and if you want they even explain how to bypass it.
of course having the manual always comes in handy. bought them for my 75 and my 90 from ebay.

You cannot buy the red manuals new anymore. Helm prints the FSM and all they have is the white covers.
