I'm looking for a reputable corvette tech in the Cincinnati area, something wrong with the security system, vats bypass did not work, if the digital gauge cluster and interior lights don't come on when you open the door or try to start the car , it won't start, but sometimes you get lucky and open the door and the interior lights come on, the car will start, but don't shut it off if the gauge cluster flickers out or your stuck till it feels like starting again, could be a week could be three months, I've owned the car for 2 years and got to drive it 4 times, HELP!!!!!!!

I've tried all the connections, everything is new, cables battery etc. it did start and run but I noticed the computer box, I think it is , right above the battery gets scalding hot after a few minutes of running, you can't even touch it, I shut it off and now it's back to the same old problem. I guess my local chevy dealer is going to get a visit

The PCM will normally get a bit warm, but it shouldn't be so hot you can't touch it. Especially after just a few minutes running. Something ain't right.(duh?) Might have a component that is drawing too much amperage, for the internal drivers to handle. Sure need to scan for codes....

Thanks for the advise, I have a neighbor who has a 1990 like mine and his PCM gets a little warm but nothing like mine, you can smell the plastic it gets so hot in my c-4, thanks everybody for your advise, I'm going to haul it down to my local dealer after the holidays, it sure is fun to look at but I'd much rather drive it this spring, haha, I'll throw a post once I get it back and let you know what was going on with it, Weedracer.
