We all know that the remaining 1983 Corvette is a white model and resides inside the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green.
However, around 1991, I took my first tour of the Corvette plant and recall seeing half a red Corvette, cut lengthwise, above the plant's visitor entrance.
I can remember the tour guide explaining that the car was a 1983 Corvette that was cut and hung there for display.
Does anyone have a photo of this car, or can also remember seeing it over the entrance door back then?

Darn, saw it today when I was there. Try calling the museum and see if they will send a pic.

A picture would be cool. I replaced my rear bulb's in my 1985 yesterday, with LED, and my Len's cover's have DOT AIST 83 on them. I figured they were produced in'83. Am I correct anyone ?
If so, that is pretty cool !!!!!!!
