Vette(s): 1989 Convert. It's HERE ! ! ! This is my first 'Vette. Most likely my last toy as I am 71 years old.
In the 101 Projects for your Corvette book, he tells about relocating the MAT sensor.  However he does not tell where to get the upgrade or in detail what to do.  Has anyone done this upgrade ?  It makes sense to do it but I need more info.  Thanks... Big smile

Try  Mid America Motorworks---Corvette America or possibly Bair's Corvettes (all vendors here on C4VR).  Mid America used to sell a kit which came w/instructions. The kit (at least on my '96) consists of a rubber grommet/new MAT and a wire harness. A hole is drilled near the air filter housing--grommet and new MAT installed there and new harness used to plug into and extend the OEM harness. The idea is to move the MAT  away from engine heat where the air is "cooler" thus "tricking the ECM" causing a very slight fuel enrichment. Opinions vary on this mod-the air foil and throttle body coolant bypass etc.--as far as how much OR if these mods help at all. Hope this helps.Smile

Thanks 96LT1,  After a bit of searching I found the same place.  Also found a whole raft of others.  They all are priced at $50.00.  Resonable enough.  Ordered mine today 1/1/10.... LOL
