Rear end shift

Vette(s): 1988 35th Anniversary Edition Triple White #584 1958 Red and White Roadster

I have a 1988 coupe with a rear end shift going from coasting to power you can feel the shift with slight movement in rear end. Any ideas on cause and repair.
