RandR upper ball joints, first time, on a 1987

I'm new, 67 and glad I finally got a vette.   My question is what kind of drill bit will take those rivets out that came from the factory securing those upper ball joints.

Use a chisel to cut the heads off and a pry bar to pry them out.

An air chisel makes quick work of it if available.

 

or

Chisel the heads off and gauge what size drill bit from there.

The chisel works but can make a mess out of the aluminum control arm. I drilled the head of then CAREFULLY drilled out. Almost damaged the control arm. start small.
