Budget finally allowed and I got my new tires delivered yesterday. Nitto Motivo - built as "All-Season Ultra High Performance." Going to have to wait to have them put on though, as the Vette is in the shop as won’t idle (again). Super excited to have them, and let my back room smell like a tire shop.

Good deal! I've heard good things about these tires, and they're definitely an attractive tread pattern. Hope you're out of the shop and on the road enjoying the new rubber soon.

I wrote again as this is the 3rd time I've had to deal with random startup and she won't idle. She's in the shop now getting a new fuel pump/filter. So I think this will the be the end if this issue. I just want to put the new tires on!

I've discovered when a Corvette is misbehaving that talking nice to them works. They don't handle anger well. :)
If it isn't broke, I haven't fixed it yet....

Not out of the shop yet, eh? When she supposed to be ready? My 95 was in the shop last week getting a new distributor and water pump. Missed her something awful, but had a lot of fun cruising about in her over the weekend after we got her back home.

Called earlier today and parts weren't in yet... but they are supposed to be in today before closing. So cross your fingers that she'll be released tomorrow. Wednesday is a state holiday here in Utah (paid day off!!!
) so I told the service writer I'd really like to have her back before then.

Although mine is running much smoother than when I bought it... (timing was 15-17 degrees retarded) mine still doesn't idle worth beans. But I was told that it was the Fuel Pressure Regulator. 123 piasters (not counting 2 sets of gaskets). We looked but couldn't find a vacuum leak...;>(((I'll be keeping my eye pealed ( and I'll use my Good eye) for your posting of how yours is fixed.

I put new tires on mine this last weekend and boy does it make a difference. I live in Indiana and don't drive it after the weather turns bad so, in order to save some money I went with BF Goodrich Comp 2 SS ZR1's summer tires, wow does it corner!!
